Thank you to CitySide Subaru and East Cambridge Savings Bank for their generous donations. They are some of the many donors to the Belmont Library Building Project who will help to offset the amount of public funding required for the project and reduce the financial impact on Belmont residents.

After 20 years of efforts, a new Belmont Public Library building is on the road to reality! Following a positive result in the November 2022 debt exclusion vote, the Library Building Committee is now engaged in refining and finalizing the design, working hand-in-hand with architects Oudens Ello and project managers CHA, and incorporating all community feedback we have received since the schematic designs were first presented to the public. The Library will be in temporary quarters during construction with specifics to be announced. The new Belmont Public Library building is currently projected to open in fall 2025.
