Job & Volunteer Opportunities

Job Opportunities

Please check with the Town of Belmont’s Human Resources Department for job opportunities and how to apply. All candidates for hire must successfully pass a CORI Background check per town policy.

Volunteer Opportunities

Library volunteers support, enrich, and enhance the library’s services and programs by sharing their time and talent and performing tasks that paid staff members are not available to do. Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule, keep regular hours, call when not able to volunteer, and provide advance notice of vacations.

Volunteers are matched to available activities which may include shelving and shelf reading and other special projects that may come along.  Some of the tasks may require physical actions such as reaching, bending, lifting, and pushing heavy books and book carts. All candidates for volunteering must successfully pass a CORI Background check per town policy.

Adult Volunteers – Adult volunteers are coordinated through our Friends of the Library. Please click the Friends of the Library Volunteers link below for more information.
