Pen Pal Program
Calling all letter-writers!
The Belmont Public Library and the Beech Street Center/Council on Aging are excited to share a new (old) way to connect: writing to a pen pal! You and your pen pal can write about favorite books, discuss hobbies, and create a friendship even if you can’t see each other in person.
Fill out the form below by Monday, August 31, and we will match you with a pen pal in town. We’ll even give you a free Pen Pal Kit with cards, envelopes, ideas for what to write in your letter, and more fun surprises! Be prepared to commit to sending your pen pal at least 3 letters by the end of December 2020.
This program is open to anyone age 7 and up, including teens and adults of all ages. It is generously funded by the Friends of the Belmont Public Library and the Beech Street Center/Belmont Council on Aging.
Seniors can contact Dana Leavitt at the Beech Street Center at [email protected] or 617-993-2977.
Adults, contact Corinne Coveney, Community Outreach Librarian at [email protected] or 617-993-2896.
Teens, get in touch with Teen Librarian Hannah Lee at [email protected] or 617-993-2873 with questions or to find out how you can count this towards your community service credit.
