Citizen Literacy

The Belmont Public Library, Science for the Public and the Belmont Media Center have teamed up to bring you programs on civic, media, and science literacy, under the umbrella of the Citizen Literacy Series. We feel that, now more than ever, our patrons should be able to engage with the leading minds in our area in order to make informed decisions on issues such as climate change, public policy, and smart media consumption. Citizen Literacy programs usually include a 30-45 minute lecture on a given topic, followed by ample time for Q&A. Please see our schedule below for upcoming programs, and take a look at who has spoken in the past.
