Tween Chocolate Making — Tuesday, August 6 at 11:30 am Registration Required

Tuesday, August 6, from 11:30 to 12:30 pm, join us in the Assembly Room for Tween Chocolate Making! Learn the sweet ins and outs of making chocolate and take some treats home with you! Licensed Chocolatier Kim Larkin will lead this awesome workshop on the history and techniques involved in making our favorite candy, and lead teens in making their own. For grades 4 to 6.

Citizen Scientists Storytime — Mon. August 12 & 19 at 11:00 am; Wed. August 14 & 21 at 1:30 pm

Calling all kid scientists: NASA satellites Aqua and Terra need our help measuring clouds! Join Children’s Librarians Deb and Rachel to learn about clouds, observe and record the sky outside, and do some fun activities. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

Pop-up Art School: A Trip to the Moon — Mon. Aug. 5th at 6:00 pm Registration Required

Pop-up Art School combines art history and hands-on learning to teach a variety of art techniques. Make your own simple machine to send a rocket to the moon, based on the   famous silent film Le Voyage Dans la Lun (A Trip to the Moon) by Georges Melies. For ages 8 and up.
