The item must fit within a 220 x 220 x 220 mm (8.66 x 8.66 x 8.66 inches) area.
Once you have been contacted about your finished print, please pick up your item within two weeks from the Reference Desk.
The cost is $0.10 per gram of material used in your 3D print.
The charge will be placed on your library card and will appear on your account. You can then pay online or at the library.
Please pick up your completed 3D print before submitting another request.
All files will be printed as submitted, so please submit a finalized design as an .stl file.
We are unable to accommodate color requests.
Belmont Public Library cannot print any items protected by copyright. For more information, please read our Technology Use Policy.
We do not monitor the age of people submitting requests. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to guide their children in utilizing this service. Belmont Public Library reserves the right to refuse any 3D print request. 3D print requests must adhere to the Behavior Policy for Patrons. Any individual using the library’s 3D print service agrees to assume all responsibility for, and shall hold the library harmless in, all matters related to the use of the 3D printed item, including but not limited to violations of patent, trademark and/or copyright law.
Belmont Public Library cannot print any gun frames or gun parts, as such conduct is a violation of Massachusetts law.
