The new Belmont Public Library is opening a fresh chapter in our community’s story — a place for learning, connection, creativity, and discovery. As we prepare for this exciting new beginning, the Friends of the Belmont Public Library invite you to join us in shaping its success.
Volunteering with the Friends is a fun and meaningful way to give back, meet neighbors, and support the library you love. Whether you have an hour or a few days a year to spare, your help makes a real difference.
📚 Book Donation Sorting & Processing
Help organize, sort, and prepare donated books for our ongoing Everyday Book Sale and for the annual Fall/Spring Friends book sales. Volunteers work in small groups and flexible shifts—no experience needed, just a love of books!
đź’° Book Sale Events
Join the team that makes our book sales possible! Assist with setup, sales, or cleanup during major events like our annual Fall Book Sale. It’s a great way to meet fellow readers and support library programs.
🎉 Friends Events: Mini Golf & Books in Bloom
Help host and coordinate some of our most popular community events! Volunteers assist with planning, setup, or welcoming guests during these fun, family-friendly activities that bring the library to life.
🌿 Beautification & Landscaping
Lend a hand in keeping our library grounds looking beautiful year-round. Whether watering flowers, weeding, or refreshing outdoor spaces, this is a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy working outdoors.
🤝 Join the Friends Board
Take your involvement a step further by joining our Board. Board members meet monthly and help plan programs, fundraisers, and community initiatives that support the library’s mission.
