Food For Fines Program

Beginning November 1st, the Library will accept non-perishable food items and toiletries for the Belmont Food Pantry as an alternative for any patrons wishing to donate items to the BFP instead of paying fines.

We want to thank all those who worked with the library to make this program a possibility, including the Board of Library Trustees, the Town Administrator and of course, the Belmont Food Pantry.

If patrons wish to make a donation to the food pantry instead of paying late fees on Belmont items, we will have containers at the Circulation Desk to receive them. “Food For Fines” will be for Belmont late fees only. Fines from other libraries are not eligible, nor are replacement costs for lost or damaged items.

Murder Mystery Party

The rumor is true! This place is HAUNTED!

That’s right!…and lots of famous sleuths, detectives and ghost hunters from around the world will be there to catch a glimpse of our famous, (and elusive), ghost Billy, (better known as ‘Billy, the Spook”).

Gee! If someone gets murdered, we’ll have plenty of detectives to solve the crime, won’t we!

Everyone plays a part! You could be Sherlock HomesMiss Garble, or even The Hardly Boys.
