Making Comics with Cara Bean!

Do you love comics? Ever wanted to learn how to make your own? Join us for this awesome workshop with local comic artist and teacher Cara Bean on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2:30 to 4:30 pm in the Assembly Room. No matter your skill level, you can create amazing characters, surprising stories, and rad comics! For grades 6 to 12.

Cara Bean is the author of Draw 500 Funny Faces and Features and has been an art teacher at Lexington High School in Massachusetts for twelve years. She has an MFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Washington in Seattle and received a certificate in cartooning from the Sequential Artists Workshop in Gainesville, Florida.

In 2012 she initiated LEXICON, an annual comics art festival for teens, held most recently at the Cary Memorial Library.
