MUSEUM PASSES

Did you know the Library has Museum Passes, available for free to Belmont residents? Museums include the Boston Children’s Museum and New England Aquarium. More information can be found here; contact the Adult Reference Department at (617) 993-2870 with questions.

ABCya: For kids in pre-K through 5th grade, this site has free educational games and activities either created or approved by teachers.

Funbrain: This site is jam packed with a wide variety of fun games

Kids Games has over 1,000 games for kids ages 6-10.

Nick Jr.: Games and full episodes of your favorite Nick Jr. shows, like Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, and Blaze, can be found here.

PBS Kids:  All your favorite PBS characters like Elmo and Curious George are featured here in games and videos.

Cyberchase (PBS Kids): Kids can dive into the world of science with this online science themed show. Kids can do activities, play games, or read up on their topic of choice.

Graphix Comic Builder: Do you love Amulet, Bone, Nnewts, or Smile? Try making your own comic online featuring characters from those graphic novel series. There’s even a section on how to draw.

Make Beliefs Comix: Make your own comics online with this online comic generator from author Bill Zimmerman.

Quarked!: Quarked! provides an introduction to particle physics through videos and online games.

San Diego Zoo Kids: Take a virtual trip to the San Diego Zoo! You can find pictures of all the animals at the zoo, or watch videos or live animal cams. There are also games and activities on this site.

Science of Baseball: Explore the science and history behind the classic American game of baseball. Read fun facts, play games, and try some cool experiments.
